SurfEasy VPN. Is it worth it?

For those of you who might of missed the memo: 'I like my privacy'. In anticipation of an upcoming relaunch of DarkRumours, I have had to reconsider IP privacy or the fact that I'm just an ordinary citizen with a computer that I like very much the way it is- error, virus and hack free. No one is 'getting too old for this shit'. For now, I will be using SurfEasy VPN unless of course it isnt any good. SurfEasy VPN might not be for you but let me enlighten you on some of it's features. If you want pros and cons please be aware this is not a review but rather an information post about the fact that it is available.

I've been using Opera for a while. I rememeber when I first downloaded Opera as a browser. It was fair and had potential but was lacking a whole lot. Quite a few years have passed since then and now Opera has plenty of options within itself which makes it a nice competitor for Chrome as its functions have it's similarities. Yes, you can also have whatever search engine you like attached to Opera (within reason) by selecting them within your settings or preferences. The creators of Opera now bring you SurfEasy VPN. It's a bit of a cliche name for a privacy and security tool but what's appealing to me is that when I download this I know it's from a trusted source. As a current user of the Opera Browser, I also know it is designed to be completely compatible with my browser. Any issues I have (if and when they come up) can be solved faster when your creators are on the same team.

SurfEasy VPN claims, as pictured above, WiFi Security, Identity Protection, Privacy Protection and Online Freedom. Anyone who reads, researches or follows anything too strange for a while needs a little detox from it every know and then. However, without complete IP privacy it's like walking out of a quarantine zone and not knowing if you have caught the black plague or not. You might be 100% confident in your internet security systems alone to keep your privacy or you might not. As this is not an internet security software package it will not interfere, alter or even attempt to do the same as any existing antivirus. So don't forget it won't be replacing your antivirus either. This is a totally different thing. Note the mention of network monitoring and IP addresses? Simply put, this is for live protection and privacy while on the web and not a response program or interface which responds to your downloads or executable files which is often the tasks of an antivirus. SEVPN will block ad tracking, encrypt your data and hide your IP so you can browse anonymously. Data is not encrypted over the internet and depending on what country you are from your provider might have an existing agreement to share your 'public information'. In many countries your data is 'public'.

It's hard not to show at least a little interest in this new tool. It is available on Mac, Windows, iOS and android. Use it on your personal computer, tablet or phones. I will be checking this out with high hopes. I have had just as many frustrating experiences in the past as fulfilling. ....page loading.... still loading..... still loading..... *deletes program*. Next! Not this one. So far, so good.

So I have signed up for the 7 day free trial. I guess I better get browsing and make a decision if it's a keeper. After the 7 days, if I choose to stay on it will cost me $3.99 month but I will have to pay upfront for the whole year ($US???). SEVPN claims I can cancel at anytime.

If you would like to find out more about SEVPN you can do so at the following link https://www.surfeasy.com/en/

So that's all for now. DarkRumours isnt ready yet but it's on the list of things to do.

I'm not sure when I'll post next because I'm working on the next video and this is where my time will be going. It would be best if I finish it first rather than post again but we will see how that goes.

Happy Monday to you.
