Memorable movie scenes: Ice Age 3 -Dawn of the Dinosaurs

In Ice Age 3 we follow the pattern of introducing new characters while Sid, Manny and Diego manage to get into new misadventures. I can't help it but every now and then I find myself taking favour to certain characters in certain movies and although Ice Age has probably already been done to death with sequels and loungeroom re-runs I still think Buck is absolutely hilarious and he's my favourite in this movie.

As you can imagine, the plot follows some course of reason usually initiated by a choice made by Sid. This time Sid has mommied some dino eggs.... that then hatched and ... well you know how the story goes. Sid is taken away by Mommy Dino, then Diego and Manny follow the trail to go get him and they meet Buck along the way.

So here's my most memorable movie scenes from Ice Age 3, favouring those featuring Buck, of course.

In the following scene, Buck introduces himself after scaring off some dinosaurs that were looking pretty threatening for our other more well known characters from the previous 2 movies.

So they've met Buck. He seems skilled, but he is incredibly weird and Kooky. Pretty much everything else Buck says follows the same pattern. How do you trust someone like that. It's almost like Buck is some kind of crazy hero that doesn't really belong anywhere and you can't even be sure if what he says is real or true most of the time. It's not that we all need someone to laugh at in this kind of way but this is what makes Buck funny.

The best part about Buck is his story telling. Oh how I love a good story!

In the next scene Buck tells us how Rudy gives him his eye patch.

An eye for a tooth, a nose for a chin and a but for a...uh...

So as you recall, the whole story has been about trying to find Sid and reunite the characters. That weird little sabre-toothed-squirrel, also from the previous two movies, appears in various scenes throughout the movie and there's a hard earned happy ending when everyone reunites and they don't need Buck anymore but they invite him to stick around.

I really do like leaving out details about endings. Even when it's been done to death.

Anyway.....

So that's Ice Age 3 in a nutshell then... a lot smaller that the original size but it's all the highlights that crack me up, which of course are quite memorable.

So I'll leave you to it then... whatever it was you were doing.

Whatever it was... it couldn't be crazier than this.
