Dance Off Challenge: Freestyler

Watching dance off clips and the dance comps online is incredible. I have no talent whatsoever. For me, I've noticed it's like watching an action movie. There's this amazing feeling I get when I watch these people do things and I imagine doing them too in that moment.
Weeeeee....
...and wow that looks like fun but the truth is it's a lot of hard work and I'm not even going to try most things. There's also the knowledge that I admit I'm never going to master almost most moves. Thats a feeling in itself which is not very encouraging!
It's been many months since my interest in watching these kind of clips was first set on fire but it's been on the back burner lately. I do still think about it sometimes. Those thoughts are just somewhere in my mind, somewhere in the back there waiting for me to pick them up again, waiting for me to follow through....... or at least entertain the idea for a moment or so. Here's one I've been waiting for- the freestylers!
Keeping in mind that being amazing in a dance off requires rehearsal, skills and lots of other things, Freestyle dance seems even harder than this (just like I'm sure jumping between buildings is). Freestyle dance is creative, improvised, expressive, original every time and is pulsing with themes or wtf moments.
Freestyle dancing certainly isn't what we know dancing to be. Muck that one up on the dance floor back in your own hometown and I can tell you right now... people may or may not be enjoying it as much as you do. Leave the Freestyle dance to the experts... hard to do if you already can't dance and seem to make everything up as you go along. Freestyle dance is both difficult and AMAZING. If you can do it unrehearsed and in the moment I'm sure that would be the ULTIMATE skill. Again, its something else I definitely don't have.

As for me, I guess I'll go back to watching vids and action movies or at least until I get some more drink in the tank, which wont be tonight. Just vids, reading and sleeping. I'm happy to settle for less for the time being.
