The Unexplained: Battle of Los Angeles
Oh yeh, so the unexplainable is my interest. Today I just wanted to unpack the statement that the battle of Los Angeles was based on a true story. So, yes please. Let’s have a look!
New to the Battle of Los Angeles? Let’s start here with a theatrical snippet of the movie.
Oh wow that seems a bit intense. I think I would have remembered something like this being mentioned in our history lessons! So why don't we remember talking about this and why don't we already remember if it's true or what actually happened?
In the words of History.com “on February 25, 1942, an infamous false alarm saw American military units unleash a torrent of anti-aircraft fire in the skies over Los Angeles”. The first line is enough to dishearten that there will be much progress on the matter.
Despite the fact that UFO and paranormal stuff is pretty much taboo, the introduction is enough to introduce how limited any data is going to be about anything, but that’s just how it is. Further articles and info from over the internet contributes to information of the same- when it was all over, nothing was found despite multiple accounts and claims that people had seen something. You betcha I’m gonna spend some days looking in those accounts and claims.

To this day, the popular standing is that everyone was on edge and it was a panic reaction to tension at the time. This is still a possible conclusion, despite multiple accounts at the time by people claiming they had seen something- blimp, multiple planes in the sky or even falling. Difficult to discount and shrug off though if you had ever seen something you couldn't explain or had to question yourself, over something less possible. It makes it harder to doubt everything and can instead leave you wondering. Why did those people think they saw something? Did they panic and imagine they did? Or did they see something and that’s why they panicked?
One thing for sure though is again the statements after the time state that nothing was found so at this point this is really all there is. Definitely no wide scale invasion but also definitely an event (or non event) that happened that night, that started with craft detected on a radar. Right now, those that weren’t there sure won’t know any better than those that did. Those eyewitness accounts must have driven people crazy. Can you imagine what it must have been like to be there, whether you saw something or not?
If you still want to watch the whole movie after all that, don't have access and are a freeloader that doesn't pay for stuff you can still watch the full version online here until its gone, just below here in the frame loaded.
We can‘t solve everything or know everything for sure but we can still think or wonder about them. Some things just need us to understand them and other things just need to be acknowledged that they don’t mean much at all. For each of us they ring true when we believe them or they mean something. They have no value when they mean nothing at all. Perhaps things are more plain than we see them at first. Do we just need to look again?
If you would like to read more weird posts, they are still coming. Tune in next time for the next posts of recurring contexts, patterned themes, random trash or some back story about this monster. I would tell you how it is but sometimes I’m not that sure.
Old posts are still having their broken links fixed and repaired so please be patient if you have subscribed or instead come back later.
Until then, I will see you next time
